Sun Jomar Accountants is an accredited training centre (ATC) for student members registered at SAIBA, CIMA, ACCA and FASSET.

Trainee accountants, aspiring to become professional accountants and members of the South African Institute of Business Accountants (SAIBA) or one of the other recognised bodies may complete their learnerships at our firm.

Our firm has become a popular destination for trainee accountants, mainly due to the fact that a wide variety of accounting services rendered to clients, give trainee accountants a broad training scope. This practical real-life training experience is backed up by a formal training plan.

This comprehensive training program is co-ordinated in conjunction with SAIBA, CIMA, ACCA and the Seta for Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and Other Financial Services (FASSET), and forms the practical sphere of the pre-requisites to become a professional accountant and member of SAIBA or one of the other recognised bodies.

To obtain membership of SAIBA or one of the other recognised bodies an academic component, consisting of a university-degree or relevant diploma with specific subjects, as well as a practical component, must be completed. The apprenticeship for a graduate is three years, that of a non-graduate five years. The academic component must include the subjects Financial Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Commercial Law and Management Accounting.

Our training program also allows professional accountants to fulfil their lifelong continued professional education (CPE), a pre-requisite of SAIBA and many of the other recognised bodies. CPE allows professional accountants to stay updated with ongoing developments in the accounting profession, again allowing us to give the best possible service to our clients, also allowing SAIBA and many of the other recognised bodies membership of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
